I went to the MakerSpace this Saturday for the 3D printer trainning. I have not tried to use the 3D printer though my college had one. While the technology develop, the 3D printer will be use in different areas and more and more ideas can be real! People also can find many 3D model on the website, like Thingiverse if you cannot build a 3D model by your own. Moreover, it can combine the Photographic 3D Model technology which I learned last week then people can be more convenient to make to duplicate something by their own. I cannot wait to try another model and let the 3D printer make it come true!

The workshop surprise me! I fount that we can just take photo an get a 3D model. I remember that when I worked in a design company, every model in 3D effect drawing which we needed to build by ourselves; therefore, we always spent a lot of time to make the model looks like what we wanted. Definitely, we always work overtime. The photographic 3D model software is a really convenient tool and will save many work time. It also can simulate more details of the model and let the 3D rendering more real. I guess that I would practice the photographic 3D software. It's not only cool, but, I feel someday I will use it on my work!
Due to the coding class, I feel that JavaScript is a cool tool. Although some design software can do graphic arts, JavaScript is interesting in totally different way. People give instructions to computer and the screen present the picture. The picture is not only can be seen but interactive. Instead of Photoshop or After Effects, JavaScript can do more visual that I cannot even think it could happen before. I love interaction which make everyone involved in and understand what ideas I try to express. I find some people devote themselves in this digital art area. They really inspire me and I hope that someday I will do that cool works as they they did. The museum is not that big, but the exhibitions are really interesting. The most impressive exhibition would be the Jim Henson one.
The Jim Henson Exhibition displays many his sketch, early works, and puppets in his film. It also reveals the behind-the-scenes footage of his film. Before I go the exhibition, I did not know Jim Henson that much. The thing I know only the Sesame Street because that is the show I begun accessing English. I learned much more about him and his works. Jim Henson was resisted on what he love although he had some negative critiques . Moreover, the puppets show that he was work so hard to finish every Muppet film and show. For example, the Big Bird was a person need to wore a controller and very nigh platform shoes then hid in that tall puppet in the Sesame Street. It was surprised. Big Bird is my favorite character in the Sesame Street, but I have never thought that how the puppet could move! Throughout the Jim Henson's exhibition, I realized that there is none can reach the goal in one step and If you want to do something you feel right, then try. Like Jim Henson said," {...] in the beginning we were lip-synching to records. There was no live sounds...so there was no need to be complete quiet. We could talk as we worked, and if something went especially well, the crew would applaud. If something went wrong, we'd laugh anyway! " |
