This was my first time to know about teamLab when I went to the presentation at NYU Tisch. This event was for students who is looking for intern or full time job. I attended because Moe asked me to go and I was curious that what teamLab is and what they work for.
When teamLab people started to present and show their clips, I was surprised. Their projects was amazing. They combined digital with art and create a natural scene. That was not only a installations or videos, they were also with interactions. On all these projects, my favorite one is Plants. In this project, the space was projected a lot of flowers. The flowers would spread or accumulate due to different moments of people. For example, If a person stand in a place then flowers will gradually accumulate under and around the person's foot. People in the exhibition can also use their phone to create the various scene. If there were more people use their phone to sent that signal to the space, the space would be more stunning. The event not only showed teamLab's project but talked about how their team work and which skills that people should have in their team. For me, that was useful because I am always interested in the video art and I hope that I can work in this area. I guess if the video art interaction combine with commercial will benefit companies and entertain people and enhance the art appreciation of skill of people. From this opportunity, I feel that I learned many knowledge or /and facts of video art. It can not only help me prepare earlier for the course, video art installation, that I have next semester, but give me a choice for my future path.

This week I found a tool, HackMD, which helps people to take notes easier and shareable. People can share the link to other people and let them can see or edit the note and make it better. I know it sounds like the Google sharing system, such as Google driver or Google doc. However, HackMD is special because its editing way. HackMD's interface is like a coding editor. The system combine with human-readable language and computer language. It improves the transitional word editors which users can only make change by the edit panel. For example, In the MS Word, I need to click the insert button to add a picture or link. When I insert a picture, adjusting the position always take me a long time. But the HackMD does not have this problem. Users can insert a picture whatever from your local or a web link. They can change the picture's position by edit the code. Therefore, users can control the layout freely. Moreover, they can insert not only picture but the web page by the html. I think this tool might change that how people take note. This system has existed in 2015 through current, but I just found it last week. I believe it might be the useful tool when I organize my note or life. Also, I believe there are many people have known this tool and use it for a while. I will try my best to familiar with HackMD and change to use this tool as well.
This exhibition is at the 6th floor in Whitney museum. The artworks are all about the digital art. I felt that every thing in the exhibition is fabulous and I have no idea how these artworks were made because I did not have that strong technology background. However, there were some artworks which touch me.
First one is Fin de Siècle II, which was made by Nam June. The artwork was used several different size televisions to create reconfigured sequences from previously broadcast television programs and art videos. I did not know why the artist designed this huge artwork, but the artwork let me rethought of the relationship between digital and art. I appreciate that although the televisions are play some different video, he can make them harmonious. It also let me review the projects that I have done before. Some look like I just want to add many cool stuff on it but did not consider about their conjunction and coherence. Therefore, I often feel that my work was not right but I cannot tell the reason. After I saw Fin de Siècle II, I will think more and make plan rather than enforce to put any thing on my work. The harmony would be the necessary when I start a project.
The other one is the New York Double Hung designed by Siebren Versteeg. This was also my favorite exhibit in this exhibition. This artwork was not only can be seen but can be touched. When people interact to this "equipment", they can feel the meaning of the "screens". Those collages were like the information which people need to receipt. On the screen, the information were various and giddy; however, out of the screen, there are enormous information wait people to see them to search them. It like the Google map. You can keep dragging the screen until you do not want to do. The art inspire me that interaction would be a good way to deliver your thoughts and ideas to people. When people have interaction with a project, it also build a connection with that.
